Food, FOod, FOOd, FOOD!

Ya'll don't even know what hunger is! Today is the first day since Sunday night that I had anything tangible to eat! Well sure, they gave me some sort of liquid imitation nourishment through my IV, but get real, it was not food! There is nothing more tastier then fresh milk, right from the best source in the world, Mom! Yummy stuff it is. So I am now allowed to start eating 2 cubic centimeters of food, distributed over a whole hour! No, that isn't alot. It will definitly keep me slim and healthy. Hey, this sounds like a great eating plan for some of you too!

So the fact that I am able to actually consume some tasty, nutritious, milk means I am getting better. Yeah slowly but surely for now I seem to be getting better. I was only able to take the milk through a tube that goes all the way past and in my nose to my tummy. So the tastiness of todays milk is still up in the air, but if it anything like last Sundays........ OH YEAH!

I hear its better then a T-Bone steak right off of daddys grill. Whats that you say you havn't had a steak off my dads grill, you are missing a part of the meaning of your exsistence! When I was up in heaven its all I could do to not take a big whiff of those tasty morsels! Definitly something I am looking forward to. Hey, I got an idea. You, reading this blog, should invite yourselves over to pops place and chow down on some yummies! Just tell dad that I sent you, you see, I got an "in", with him. lol

So, I am being weened off of the ventilator, today I had regular mix of air going into my lungs, as opposed to yesterday wherein the mix had a forty percent concentration of O2. Today it is 21% of O2. I did develop a mild splotchy rash from some anti-biotic, of which the doc stopped that one and started me on a new one. That is one thing too that I am still on is a lot of meds right now. A whole med tree sits by my bed with seven or so branches of meds on them, although not everyone is being used at all times.

I can't wait to go camping with my family, and also meet some girls at church my age. These nurses are sweet and nice and stuff, but for reals they will be grandmas by the time I can even date at 16!

Thank you for all your prayers for me. The fact that I can sit here and eat, and have my heart do its pumping thing with out the ecmo machine is evidence to me that God lives! Jesus is the Christ! He has His true and living church on this earth today! That blessings received by the laying on of hands by my daddy, and Brother Palmer, do work, and Heavenly Father hears the prayers of all off us, His children.

Well, I got to go and fill up another diaper, have a great night!

Tube up my nose!

There is a big tube up my nose! Well, okay, a little one, but still, it's up my nose none the less. Good thing I am in sleepy night night la la land from the cool drugs I have. Yup, that of the narcotic nature, but don't worry, the nurses aren't letting my uncles have any! lol

So, my surgery came and went on monday, and I sort of had a little trouble with things, my heart went into arrest, and had to be pumped by the surgeons hand. I had to be put on an advanced life support machine called ecmo. The letters represent some really long acronym that I forgot in the middle of being told what the phrase is! On mon, tues, and wed, I was becoming more and more stable with my numbers on the tv monitor thingy, so the Dr decided I would come off ecmo on thurs morning. Well, that is exactly what happened. Today I was weened off ecmo, and am doing stable. I am still in a serious state of being, and not out of the woods yet. Dr. Woods, the heart surgeon, says in a few days he will feel more comfortable about lil ole me, and my lil' er ole heart.

I am so glad for all the prayers to our God-Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. I truly believe that if we will let the our Lord Jesus into our lives, have faith, that he will bless us. We only have to let our Father have our love. I try to remember that we can only come to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour!

Finally

Well, its surgery time finally! I can't wait till all this stuff is over. My dad just experimented with a new rhubarb pie recipe and I am seriously craving that yummy treat!

So, monday, the 23rd I get a one of a kind design on my chest, no you dorks, not a tatoo, a cool scar, people will think I am a pirate, or been scuba diving down of the coast of South Africa with Great White sharks!!

My parents are a little worried, yet surprisingly calm at the same time about me going to surgery. All the doctors and nurses are really great, and Sister Thompson will be there to help ease their minds. I hope she brings me some of her oatmeal cake, I will sneak it behind moms' back, dad..... he is a push over so he'll probably just eat some with me, lol

Will keep up ya'll prayers for me, and remember, Living Life Lively is to be Alive!!

And also, Live, Laugh, Learn, and most importantly, Love, yup even you too!

I love you all, and a big thank you to all of you that have come to visit my mom, and me in the hospital, now I know who the ones are that care.

Talk to you later

Jared!

Mydad and mom came to see me in the hospital today. They received a really big surprise! A huge tube up my nose!!!!!! Well okay, not huge, but a tube none the less. OUCH!!!!!!!!! Boy did it feel uncomfortable putting it in that place, good thing I didnt have any boogers!!!!!

I overheard the nurses telling my Wonderful daddy, and Beautiful mommy, that they are going to put food in it, and that it goes right down to my tummy! Bonus!!!!!!! I get to eat and sleep at the same time, I know you are all jealous now, at least all you other daddys reading this. lol

Pretty cool huh, I mean about the lol thing. I betcha didnt know that I had a vast knowledge, for a baby, about computer acronym slang. For those of you that give a hoot, lol means laughing out loud, somewhat like, hehe, but way more computer geekish!

I am also told that I will be getting a new look come monday. What is it you say, can't wait to hear, on the edge of your seat in anticipatory drool? Well...................I will have a cool chest design! Yup, a one of a kind, never imitated, or possibly repeatedable piece of art on my chest! No you big dork, not a tatoo. A really cool incision! (please dont try this at home) Yup I am the winner of a seldom done surgery, seldom if you take the ration of the worlds population vs. the amount of participants in such a wonderful undertaking. (is this a good place to put one of those lol thingys?

Although I eavesdropped on my folks conversation and overheard about monday, I will still continue to wait patiently before I actually see them prepping me up for the big day.

Well, I have to go snort down some dinner, so I wll sign off now, and end with this new cool saying that Savannah told me. A penny saved is a penny earned. Also, a penny saved is a penny closer in going to the Puyallup Fair!

So try to come and visit me or I might have to stick a tube up your nose!

Living life lively is to be Alive!

Surgery delayed

Well, I am still waiting in PICU hanging out with a whole bunch of nice ladies that are taking care of me. They tell me that my surgery now is about a week out or so. I guess I am sort of bummed about it, I want to go to my new house. I havn't even had the chance of letting all my siblings get all jealous over me! That is the part that gets me the most about being in the hospital.

My mom is doing well after her c section, but still can't run the Boston marathon yet, yup, I thought I'd motivate both of my parents to get exercising by pushing me around in the stroller, I love the great outdoors.

I have been breathing on my own, ever since day two, eating well, and POOPING! What else can I say, I am in heaven. My dad even let me watch bull riding with him while he visited me. It sure is fun hanging out with pops!

My brother and sisters have been able to visit me about four times now, they sure are cute! I can't wait till I am all growed up, but everyone tells me I am cute, I sure hope they aren't pulling my chain! But no one has said "what a great personality", yet.

Well, I will catch you all later, have a great day!

Oh yeah Surgery

Today I am scheduled for heart surgery, I sort of forgot to mention that in the previous posting. Keep me in your prayers!

See ya'll later!

Surgery? Whats thats?

So, I've been sitting here in this hospital forever! Well actually its been seven days. I am soooo bored! I keep getting woke up by a bunch of ladies, of whom, though thier intentions seem good, they are still not letting me sleep in! And all those beeps and sirens, and bright lights! Man, I want to go back inside the dark hot tub, in that I was warm, cozy, and doing flip-flops inside it, I was in heaven still!

Speaking of heaven, that place was cool! I got to hang out with our Heavenly Father and His Son! I wasn't so little either, and nobody was poking me in the foot five or six times a day!

I know I am using alot of exclamations points, but I have to let you know how I feel, and I feel very exclamative, so there. hmmph.

But you know what? I am so glad that I am getting a lot of people cuddling with me. My mommy, she also owns the hottub, comes and feeds me and cuddles with me, and let me tell you, yummmmie!! That stuff is so good, its better then what you big people call cheesecake, or so I hear. I hear her sing songs to me, and she is so nice and sweet to me, I sure love her more than anything in this whole world, of which consists of a 30 ft by 20 ft room, with a bunch of other little people like myself in it. She comes over every few hours or so to let me EAT! Which so happens to be one of my favorite things to do in this place, the other things being, sleeping, of course, and let me see, did I mention sleeping, oh yes I did.

Well, I guess I don't really do a whole lot in here, it isn't exactly Disneyland. How do I know what that place is? Well, before I came to reside in your atmosheric conditions, and even before the hottub, I had my eyes on that place. Heaven is cool and all, but get real, they don't even have one roller coaster, and Disneyland has like, a million! I have some big plans for the future, you just wait and see, and those plans definitely include going to Disneyland, probably in seven or eight years from now. That is earth years, not heaven years, and yes, the time is calculated very differently their.

So yesterday, my family came to visit me again! I was so happy. Mommy, Daddy, Savannah, Mark, Nalana, and Janae are fun and neat, I love visiting with them, and spending time with them. I get all warm and fuzzy whenever they are around me. I look forward to hanging out with them at parks and teaching them who is really the boss! Yours truly, hehe.

I am so cute, people tell me that I look just like my daddy! And he is so handsome, mommy says, so it must be true. Well I am tired of writing, sheesh, this typing stuff is sort of difficult, my fingers are so little.

I'll catch all of you next time, tune in to receive great news and updates. Peace.

Hey world, I am finally here!

Hello everyone, I am Jared Proudlock, Jared Joseph Proudlock to be exact and I just entered your world. I was sent by our Heavenly Father, God, to be the little brother of four wonderful siblings, and two parents, a mom, and dad (as it should be), whom love me a whole lot. I knew in coming though that my little body would have some physical problems to deal with in the beginning, but really good doctors and surgeons would be able to fix me up like they never happened. And besides, what is life if not for a little excitement right? lol. Well, just to let you all know, I came to reside in your atmosphiric conditions at 4:44pm on June 5, 2008, a thursday. Which so happens to be the day right before my mommys birthday! I tried to be a party crasher and celebrate our birthdays together, but I figured I be nice and let her have the leftover cake from my party every year, hehe. I weighed a whopping 7 lbs. and 14 ounces, some call me big, but I am not going to count my chickens befor they hatch, have you seen my parents, they are practically midgets! I have about the same chance of being big when I grow up as an iceberg in "you know where" does of not melting! I was also 19 and a quarter inch long! Yipee! a whole quarter! Jeepers, one can't even make a phone call with a quarter anymore, have you all been watching the cost of inflation, its ridiculous. Well, I am going to let my dad put some pictures of me on this blog, I figured the rest of the world might as well see me, the most handsome baby in the world! Modesty is not one of my strong points by the way.
